Pete Kahl Jungle

adamrivers Jan 19, 2006 10:45 PM

Hi guys, this is a wierd post i guess but i figured this would be the best place to do it. Ok i purchased this male from a reputable breeder here in Toronto. It is a jungle male that was produced by Pete Kahl. now the thing is, his colours are pretty awesome, and before purchasing i went through a whole q & a witht he seller. I even went as far as emailing Pete Kahl as well just to chek. i recieved the following from pete Kahl :

"Yes it is true and ****** is a good guy.

Thanks,
Peter "

and this from the seller :

"See how much brighter he is than the normal female he is beside.
Notice the very bright red tail and above the tail a small section of the saddle pattern is joined.

With Jungles its co dominant meaning this male when bred to any normal or any other female boa will produce a combination of stripes, partial stripes and real weird patterns.
I picked this guy for his bright clean pattern but his offspring will be unreal."

Now i have purchased before from the seller and trust him complettly as the other snake i purchased from him was just amazing. Now, its just that alot of people have told me that theres no way it can be a jungle and some have told me otherwise. I just wanted a few different ideas or thaughts on this topic.

mainly its just that im a younger guy and it is the first "high end" snake i have purchased and really could afford, and i jsut want to make sure i am going in the wrong directiona dn will not be disapointd by the outcome and become turned off the hobby thanks let me know

The contrasting color on his back right before the tial leads me to believe that it is a jungle. It looks very bright and clean. Plus the fact that Pete Kahl said it was. I'm sure some breeders who have seen more jungles in person will be of more help. But to me, it looks like a jungle. A better and closer picture would help too. Good luck with your new collection, he looks like a great start.
