So you thought those were calcium deposits

Here is a picture of a granular egg from the inside showing probable protein noduals lodged in the membrain of granular eggs. This egg has been stripped of all calcium.

Did you eat the ones that you pickled in vinegar, or did you take them straight up & raw?
Did you get to hallucinate?

Jury is out, my hunch was that they contain a toxic protien of sorts. Yes I chewed on them but it is hard to distinguish between the natural brain damage and that which is induced.

Although the bumps are lodged in the center of the membrain and penetrate front and back they do seem to secrete additional calcium crystals on the noduals themselves.

Under higher magnification the membrain itself has fingers protruding from the noduals and when the calcium is layed down coats the fingers to make them appear as crystals!
