Danger of Feeder Geckos/anoles

inkognito Jan 20, 2006 06:02 AM

Hi.

I hope so one can help me out on this one..

I have a Glauerti monitor that is a real problem about it's food. It will only accept brained pinkis.

And I was thinking, Im a fraid of the high fat-low calsicum levels in pinkis so I want to try some lizards..

BUT all lizard feeders are WC and probably full of parazites and what not.

Does freezing eliminate these parazite problems?

Or can I treat my feeder geckos before I feed theme of?

A feeder house gecko is probaly 2-5GR's and panacure for instance is dosed pr kg. Its mathemathics, but how would you administer it? And how to with 100 feeder geckos? time consuming..

What treatment would rule out all parazites and such illneses that I do not want to transfere to my monitor?

thanks
Alex.

What else have you tried to feed it so far?
