Is there any data on the pH in reptile blood? Humans it is 7.4. My question is number one what is the pH in reptile blood and is it the same at differing temperatures? I have found out that albumin in general IS sensitive to change in pH, it re configures at different pH levels. Additionally egg albumin tends to FAIL on the alkaline side of the pH spectrum. There is a failure rate on both extremes of the pH scale for albumen. Ever notice reptile eggs that look cooked when they fail? I am going to experiment and offer a pH in my substrate that mimics the pH in the reptile’s blood.
