rmcn126 Jan 20, 2006 12:38 PM

Hi I am going to get another bts very soon and I was wondering what anyone else recomends. I have the basic set up but it's just that the basic setup. Thanks for your input!

You mean was the setup for my other bts he died 2 months ago. But it was the same setup as I have now a heat pad, basking spot, large water dish(for bathing in)and a hiding spot I am wondering what else to put in it to make it feel more like home for the skink.

You really don't need a heat pad - a basking spot with a ceramic tile or piece of slate is better. Even a log warms up under a good heat source (bulb).

Why did your other one die?

I think that the reason my other one died was because he was either born with a defect or ingested a peice of his substrate. The only thing I know though is that if you get an animal and it dies in less than 24 hours something weird had to happen.
