Egg questions

weebeasties Jan 20, 2006 02:47 PM

Mable, my 20 plus year old box turtle presented me with 5 large eggs this morning. She stepped on two of them but three look great. She's housed indoors and she dug a deep pit to have them in. I have moved them to an incubator set to 85 degrees and set them on moist perlite. Is this ok? I raise beardies so this is what I'd do for them. How moist should I keep the eggs? How long for hatching and whats the immediate care the hatchlings will need? Thanks for your time.

You have asked good questions, and the answers require a lot of typing, lol! I have written an online box turtle care book and talk about the care of eggs and hatchlings. Check it out, and of course check out other sources of information-not just mine.
