I would really love to be able to raise my own for my torts and lizards..Any ideas?
I wonder if anyone anywhere has ever raised snails?

I read about raising snails to eat in the L. A. Times several years ago. As I remember, they used 5 gal. buckets and fed them rabbit pellets. You might be able to find it in their archives.

not where to buy the snails..Can anyone find a place to buy food quality snails to start a feeder colony?

Too bad you don't live here in LA. I see snails on the sidewalk all the time. They eat my veggies in the spring.

Good luck! I have tried. I even answered someone who posted an ad in the classifieds and he never got back to me with payment info. I just got some slugs from a friend in OR to see if my lizards would eat them but I haven't a clue on how to breed them.
If you find any please share the information!
