How long do leopards need to cool for?
Thanks:
Jason

They don't need to be cooled to burmate (hybernate). They can and will off the natural light that comes into the room. If you plan too cool them you have to stop feeding them and make sure they poop all contents out before or it can kill them. Then they are cooled for about 3 weeks or so.

However I do not recommend cooling them at all, as they don't need it to get them to start breeding or for health. It can be quite dangerous.

I agree unless you KNOW what you are doing you should not attempt to cool your Leo. It isn't even necessary at all.

Thanks for the response.
I have had them down for almost four weeks now.
They are fine, but after reading your response will slowly warm them to normal temps.
I'm not new to breeding reptiles and understand the clearing of the stomach before cooling. I just did'nt understand how long to cool.
Thanks again for the info, thats exactly what I needed to know.
