Cincinnati is a very conservative city. I would love to see a herp show here. But I would be willing to bet that there is no way that city council would let it happen. Anything that is out of the norm there is taboo. Cincinnati really needs to open it eyes to the world around it and quit living in the past. Herps are a very important part of our world, we could not live without them.

its not that backwards of a city. there used to be one there but cincinnati isnt quite as centrally location to multiple big cities as columbus is. the once in the past was really a bust most of the time. few vendors and few buyers. couple that with the one in columbus and i dont knwo if the one in indy still happens but assuming it does that one too and people dont need one in cincy.

Speaking of herp shows, years ago i was a member of gchs and every year there was a reptile display show held at the old musieum center on gilbert ave then it moved to union terminal for a year or two. why dosent the new gchs have anything like this it might help raise membership and encurage past members like my self to join again? just an idea????

I remember those too. They were fun and a good way to get new members. They were more of an exhibit "show" as opposed to the swap meet "show" they have in Columbus and other cities now.
