Help! Did my water dragon lay an egg??

gordyv Jan 20, 2006 08:31 PM

I have had my water dragon for about 3 years now. It was about 10 inches long when we got it. I came home today and both of the goldfish in my pond were floating. There was also a mysterious egg like object in the bottom of the pond. It looks like a white jelly bean. It is about 1.25 inches and it feels rubbery and squishy. The fish were only about 2.5 inches so I don't think it came from them. I also don't think the water dragon got pregnant. He or she hasn't had any visitors since we got it. Any ideas what this could be??

Yes. She doesn't need a male companion to lay eggs. Expect a few more. My female also laid a singe egg on Saturday and last time it took her 3 more days to squeeze out 3 more. Diane
