Does anyone have any experience with feeding their snakes with "snake sausages"? Which kinds of snakes will accept these "sausages" most readily? I am under the impression that not all snakes will eat them.

I am not familiar with snake sausages. What are they?
They look like a hot dog. They are supposed to be a substitue for a cute little mouse or rat. Not sure what the ingredients are..probobly ground up mouse or rat.
The only way to know if a snake will eat it is to try.
Several years ago I was given a package of snake sausages to try out. None of my snakes would take them; including the ones that will eat practically anything that fits in their mouths. They were offered to: corns, calking, ariz. mt. kings, sinoloan milk, sand boas, and childrens pythons.
My observations of them investigating the sausages concluded that the morsels were just too strange to seriously be considered food items. Perhaps over time some would have eaten them. I was curious to see if any would eat them first time offered, and not interested in the time, effort and expense of switching them over to a different food item.

Do you have a problem with feeding frozen mice or rats to a pet snake? I ask not to be rude, but only because I was also considering the snake sausages before I got my first snake (about a year and a half ago). I was feeling squeamish about feeding frozen rodents, but after I got my snake and began feeding her regularly, I found that it wasn't nearly as bad as I had imagined. Nowadays it seems no different to me than sprinkling flake food in the fish tank. After I watched my snake feed for the first time, I was so amazed that I didn't feel weird about feeding ever again.
Also, remember that snake sausages are much more expensive than frozen rodents, and MUCH harder to find. The convenience and cost of f/t prey can't be beat, IMHO.
