Temps for thayeri king?

TwoSnakes Jan 21, 2006 11:37 AM

Hi
I am new to Thayeri kings . Got one several months ago. I have a CA king for 4 yrs but was recently told they prefer it cooler than Ca kings.
Mine is doing well eating well, etc but ofcourse want the best temp for him. His cool side is 75 his warm side mid 80s .
Is this okay or should it be lower on both sides?
I do notice he stays mostly in hide area in his cooler side but comes out at night while my CA king prefers warmer side.
Its no problem to lower temps for him but not sure if I should.
Any input would be great .

thanks

Thank you. He has been eating so not going to brumate him esp since he is a baby and I am not going to breed him.
thanks for the temps.
