well if you live in the US your outta luck. They aren't available to the public. Europe has them though.

I thought they were not available AT ALL to the public due to their low numbers, and endangered or protected status???

Even IF they were available, you might have to get a bank loan to afford one.

Fiji iguanas are bred and sold in Bali, Indonesia, for around 1,500U$.

Brachylophus fasciatus is illegal to own anywhere in the world unless you're a zoo. They are seriously endangered and listed as CITES I.

I remember talking to someone in Englad who said they cost as much as a nice pastel BP. I could be wrong, but I think I remeber this.

I wouldn't assume that these iguanas were acquired legally, as I very highly doubt that private hobbyists can legally buy such endangered animals. But I could be wrong, although I don't think it would be very ethical to keep this species as a pet, as beautiful as they are. All individuals in captivity should be in zoo breeding programs...

The post was on NERD's cold blooded forums, it was someone showing off their male fiji. He said they are less then a nice pastel over in England.

I know somebody that breeds them, but cannot sell in USA right now. He has sold some to Zoo's, I believe. He is trying to get restrictions lifted on Captive bred Fiji Banded Iguana, this will stop their extinction.
