Iridescent??!! Neato!! Dialup warning

Kendergirl Jan 21, 2006 07:03 PM

Wow....I took Spot out today for his daily mite treatment, and caught the light. He actually is iridescent! How cool is that? Better yet, I was able to catch it on camera. This is NOT after a shed. I didn't know BPs were iridescent like this. How did I not see this before?

I should add, there is nothing blue in the room...in fact, I'm wearing red.

Simply beautiful!

I'm ready for my close-up...

Check out the eye...it's lighter on the top half. Is that normal? Just noticed that today as well.

AND (sorry for the crappy shot) this is the ONLY yawn I saw today....somehow I caught that as well. "Look Ma! No more mucus!"

Spot's a neat-looking animal, and I'm glad that he's feeling better.

I've run into the iridescence when taking pictures of my ball python, but it's never been that pronounced. You can see a little iridescence in this picture on the top of her head. I've generally tried to minimize it because I want to see the skin colors of my snake, but you caught it beautifully.

Is the eye always lighter on top? Maybe the picture just gives that appearance because your flash fires from the top of your camera.

I'd love to catch a picture of my girl in a yawn. That would be quite a picture.

It's not how many snakes you have. It's how happy and healthy you can keep them.

Yep, it's always light on the top half. I didn't notice it until a few days ago, but it's constant, no matter what the lighting is.

The first photo is near a lamp with no flash. The other two are with the flash. (I love the third pic...so cool!)
