Ceramic Heat Emitters

melgrj7 Jan 21, 2006 11:54 PM

Does anyone here know if Exo Terra ceramic heat emitters will last as long as I've heard zoomed ones do? (2-4 years).

Anyone notice any differences between the 2 brands of heat emitters?

Gosh, I wish I still knew the brand of my 150W ceramic bulb (can't find it on the bulb itself). We got a corn snake 17 years ago and the bulb has been heating its cage ever since and it's still going strong (and so is the corn snake).

I got a couple of the Exo Terra heat emitters when they first came out and they've worked well since. I've also got Zoo Med emitters that have been on almost constantly since 1996. They advertise them as lasting x amount of hours but in reality, they can last years, as long as they aren't banged around.
