New Here Can someone help tell me what snake this is?

ccs68ex Jan 22, 2006 03:50 AM

I have 3 Ball Pythons and a Savu python. I got a call today from the local pet store wanting me to go check out a snake that had been left behind at a mans place when someone moved out. I went over to check it out and the poor guy did not know how to take care of it but had been trying for a few months but didn't know when or how often to feed it. In any case the snake had not been fed in a while so i told him i would give me $100 for the whole set up. and left with the snake. At first glance i knew it was a large Ball ( about 5 or 6' long ) but the more i look at it and my other snakes it doesn't seem to have the same markings. Not so much the body but the head is what is making me wonder i have a few pics i am going to post.. the first of which is the snake in question if someone could help. The others are just to show my other babies

looks like you have a ball python and a boa constrictor.

biscuit71 Jan 22, 2006 06:01 AM

That is a Boa Constrictor

goregrind Jan 22, 2006 09:59 AM

if it were a boa it would have more grey to it. if you havent already, ask the reticulated python forum, or if you disagree with me ask the boa forum.

if it is a retic, you should think about wether you want a 20' 200 pound snake in your home with your chindren
