I have a 55 gallon take i want to some how put a divider in the middle and put my female on on side and my male on the other does that possible?

Sure, I've seen lots of people divide their tanks. Just make sure you use a divider they can't see through. Just place an appropriate sized UTH in the middle so that half of it is available to each side
