I'll bet photographing spilotes is a challenging assignment. Those are very healthy looking specimens. Are they wc or cb.

The one on the fireplace mantle is a Pseustes from Surinam.

What size enclosures do you keep your Pseustes and Spilotes in?

Sighthunter Jan 22, 2006 05:21 PM

They have outdoor enclosures that are 8'X6'X6' and indoor cages that are the equivelent of 500GAL.

I'm sure a setup like that will afford the opportunity of observing many behaviors that would never occur in a smaller enclosure.

Enjoy

I have a ten foot male that is speckled. You should see him after he has been basking at 100F outside. Wicked is an under statment.

Very nice. I'm always glad to hear that someone is working with and breeding some of the more difficult and challenging species. The more stuff we have now, the less likely we'll get stuck without it when their home countries shut down the source.

The problem now is when they shut down the States to anything exotic!
