Handling Question

ShadowDruid Jan 22, 2006 02:01 PM

I recently bought a hatchling dragon and I was wondering when I could start to handle him or her. He is about 5 inches now and I heard somewhere that you should wait until they reach about 8 inches... is this true ?

Also.. any suggestions to help me hold / handle the youngin ?

thanks in advance!

Hand feeding is a good way to 'bond' with your beardie. Also try to approach him from the side instead of from above. We started handling our baby from the first day we received him--short amounts of time until he became more comfortable. If our baby resisted our handling (tried to hide from us) we left him alone and tried again later or another day.

Enjoy your baby!
