Heating Bulb Q

ChameleonV123 Jan 22, 2006 05:05 PM

Hey, I decided to go with the 5.0 bulb instead of 10.0 to replace the coil UV. Any way, I bought a new light fixture for the tube bulb, but when I put my heat bulb in, it lays parallel to the cage, not pointing straight down like it did the clamp light (with out clamp). Any one have a suggestion?

What I meant to say was that when lying parallel, it doesnt get as much heat direclty down, like the old fixture did, and need a bulb that would make for a good basking spot

I am not sure what you are asking exactly. Just put the 5.0 bulb laying on the screen cage, or as close to the top of the screen cage as you can get it. Make sure there are a few branches under the bulb. Besides this, you are also going to need a basking bulb, which will provide heat.
