General_Cha0s Jan 22, 2006 05:14 PM

well as i sed when she came in she supprised me by taking 3 crickets and 3 superworms. she worried me the next day b/c she seemed lethargic and didnt eat, i believe it was only stress b/c the next day she was much more active, explored the enclosure, and ate. today she i finally got her to tong feed and she has been very active. ill try to get a pic up tomorrow, was just giving her some time.

wondering about my chameleon in regards to human interaction, everything ive look into about chams basically says that they are stressed by peoples presence and to avoid human contact as much as possible, my cham, however, doesnt seem the least bit bothered by me and seems to associate me with food/water, as she prefers to eat and drink from my hand. so i guess my question is, is it ok to continue this frequent interaction so long as she doesnt show stress due to it? . also at the moment she seems to prefer to eat/drink exclusively from my hand, for the most ignoring the feeders in the bowl. as far as drinking she has somewhat of a feeding response if i spay the enclosure then hold a leaf or something that has collected water towards her, she then walks intently towards my hand and drinks from it. thx for looking i know this is kinda long

I found another...We got our veiled as a baby, and my daughter fell in love with her. She spent a lot of time crawling up her face and onto the top of her head. She never seemed stressed at all, and hand feed nicely. At times she would snuggle into Rylie's warm hands and fall to sleep. I hear most are independent, but I guess you should follow your gut (as we did) and leave her/him alone if she/he wants nothing to do with you.
