ive had my male in with my female for about a month now. ive never breed gtps befor. about 2 weeks ago i put a nest box in. and for the past 5 days, she spends all her time in it. does that maen anything, or is that normal?

That means she's hiding. Chondros will use a hide box if given one. What temps have you cycled them at? Females undergo many changes that will indicate whether they are gravid or not. Look for swelling of the body without an increase in feeding, change in color, loss of appetite, and flattening of the head. If she's still feeding, keep pairing them up. They usually start fasting about 30 days before ovulating, and then you can add the next box. Good luck.
