she got here much earlier than i expected.. i got up at 8 this morning and checked her tracking number and she was still on a sorting table somewhere so i went back to bed and set the clock for 10 and when i got up the box was sitting on my front porch...
i cant tell you how wierd it was to see a turtle wrapped in a sock and ducktape.. but the person who sent her to me told me that it was so she wouldnt try to dig out of the box or hurt herself during shipping.. makes sense but still kind of odd.. shes gorgeous though! i let her soak in some lukewarm water and offered her some food which she didnt seem interested in..then i put her in with orange..
oh boy! ive never seen him move so fast! as soon as i put her in there i could just hear him say "hey there pretty lady" and immediately tried to climb on her.. hehe.. she on the other hand, tried to bury herself.. typical male female dynamic i suppose.. so i might take her out and put her in a temp 40 breeder until she has a few days to work out whats going on.. i would like an opinion on this.. ive never had a male and female before.. so i dont know if i should just let them work it out.. or wait a bit until she is settled.. im so excited! im glad he likes her.. i hope she likes him..
