I was woundering how breeders regulate photo cycle using the tubs? Is the ambient light enough?

I agree. Natural photo period is the best. Ours cycle like clockwork. Even with an overhead flourescent fixture on the ceiling for my convenience the light through the window is what is stimulating them. I use blinds turned "upward" so the sun doesn't shine on the racks themselves.
