That is the only picture I have ever seen of it, so I don't know if I believe it still exist.

farfrumugen,
...There are persistent rumors about albino Brazilian Rainbows. There were reliable reports of one imported ten or more years ago. As far as I know this snake died fairly soon after import. There was an albino that was reported to be a Brazilian captured in late 2004 in Guyanan. Photos I saw of this snake made me think it was a Guyanan rather than a Brazilian. That snake was informally auctioned and has been reported to have gone to Europe for a price around $50,000 last year. The photo posted with the albino Redfoot Tortoise photo is one of Ricardo Rubios' albino Colombian Rainbows. I think Ricardo imported an albino baby maurus and it's het siblings. Ricardo has bred them and produced at least one albino maurus. I saw one of the babies and it was a truly beautiful little snake. Brian Sharp had albino Colombian Rainbows as potential 2005 babies on his pricelist. I do not know if he produced any or not. There was an albino Argentinian Rainbow imported 7 or 8 years ago. I have been sworn to secrecy but I can report that it went to one of the bigger US reptile breeders. I suspect they have not had any luck breeding it because I have heard nothing else about it. My guess is that many of the continuing rumors about albino Brazilian Rainbows being close to being produced in captivity are offshoots of rumors about these other albino Rainbows. On the other hand, perhaps someone does have albino Brazilian Rainbows and is close to producing babies.

I think Jeff nailed the answer. I have a feeling if anyone had albinos, he would know about them. However, John Berry has put together a new book on morphs for bloods, carpets, ball pythons, Boas and rainbow boas. I'm not sure what all he will have in there but he has said that the rainbow boa section looks good. I guess we'll just have to wait and see. I believe his book comes out early February

very good answer. i guess you nailed it on the head. im possibly picking up a pair at the ny metro expo in april im planning on attending but am unsure what i want to pick up. the 3 biggest contemplations i have are too get a pair of brb's, a pair of ringed pythons or possibly (also my newest fascination) a pair of anthill pythons. but i doubt i can afford the anthill pythons since the cheapest i have found them for was 400 each 700 pair. ive always loved the brb's so ill probaly get them but ill have to wait till april(sigh)
thanks again jeff
p.s. i ramble alot ha ha
