Speckled, anyone?

xelda Jan 24, 2006 01:26 AM

My friend caught this girl in Missouri some time ago. After his male died, he didn't have any use for her, so he gave her to me.

This guy might be responsible for my being a snake owner today. I caught him in August while taking a walk. He was coming onto the road, and I get tired of seeing the dead ones. I brought him home for a couple of days, and I loved him. Pictures really don't do him justice. However, I really wasn't prepared to keep a snake yet. I still had some reading to do and hadn't yet tried controlling a cage. The thought of him dying on me was more than I could stand, so I let him go. Two months later, I'd done some reading and took the plunge.

It's not how many snakes you have. It's how happy and healthy you can keep them.

I actually lost the pic lol... I knew I should've uploaded it into the gallery when I had the chance. Anyways I have a 05' female albino... Awesome little snake there.

Due to the fact I am broke, I can't afford the following specimen, which I consider to be a 10/10 holbrooki(honestly). The coloration, speckles and overall the snake just seems to be 100% in every aspect. Cheap too.

I have a wild collected group from MS that we caught ourselves. They are by far the most easy locale to recognize. That snake has EVERY characteristic of the MS River Valley phase in west MS.

Nicest looking speckled I've ever seen. If I could find a pair like that I'd buy it. One yellow speck per scale, no bars, very nice!

Thanks! She's the only speckled I've got, so I feel a little strange not having plans for her other than being a pet. I'm open to any opportunities in the future though.
