Food Question

ymerejsregor Jan 24, 2006 01:50 PM

Hey everyone! This is my first post here as I'm new to whole reptile caregiver scene, but so far I'm having a ball with my new buddy Bruce, a Mali Uromastyx.

I have a food question. I've been able to classify virtually every food on the planet based on whether or not it is good or bad for a uromastyx, except for these 3 which I can't find any data on. 1.) parsley, 2.)cranberry, and 3.)portabella mushrooms. Bruce loves the parsley and cranberries especially, but I'd like to know if these are considered healthy foods for him.

Thanks in advance!

JR

Portabella mushrooms!! Boy, are you ever opening up a can 'o worms on your first post..
I can say that parsley is OK, so I hear. Now, enter the more enlightened...

Thanks for the response, but frankly (and don't take this as a personal attack), but it wasn't at all helpful. Care to expand on your comments?

Thanks!

Try emailing Doug Dix from Deer Fern Farms about these food items. He should be able to give you a better answer to your question.

I was just kidding with you! I have never considered the option of feeding portabellos to Uros (can't stand them myself!).
