Iguana Lighting

kinkajous101 Jan 24, 2006 02:10 PM

Hi,
I volunteer at a small zoo and they are going to give me an iguana. I go to pick it up Sunday. I have kept reptiles my whole life and my dad is a reptile breeder. I am no stranger to reptiles. Anyways, I was just confirming the lights that are needed for green iguanas. From what I understand, they need a heat lamp and a full spectrum light. Is that right? And in the summer, if I just keep it outside, I don't need any lights or lamps, correct?
Thanks a lot,
Drew

Check out ZooMed. A reputable petstore should have correct lighting. ZooMed is very popular and apparently a good brand.
