Good looking ghost for sure Tom. Love the wide white bands ...

That is a very CLEAN looking ghost. Looks as if there is no tipping yet in the white bands. Hopefully it stays that way. But I dont see at all where "vanshing pattern" comes in..?. To me,when someone describes a snake as a Honduran being a vanishing pattern, I think of an all orange,or almost all orange snake. Where the black bands are gone. This could just be my take on it though. As I see ad's posted on this site of "vanishing pattern hypos or tangerines" and then they look like normals. No one else ever notice that..?,

I fully understand what you are saying, and agree with the label being slapped on many snakes that probably are not. What I do mean is this snake hatched out in august and if I am not mistaking the black is receding. I have some pics of it when it was younger...and I have to try and find some to compare them. I also have seen some outstanding versions of the VP Hypos and Ghosts that blow away some of the first ones I saw. So there is a higher standard now as to what is truly a vanishing. This snake has only shed a few times....time will tell I suppose. I like it any which way, Tom Stevens

Hey Tom,
I too like the snake. It would be interesting if it actually losses black scales as it ages, or if the black scales fade. Although, I only have 1 ghost, an adult. And its dark bands are not as dark as some of my regular hypo adults. Since I've only raised 1 ghost, I wonder how many,if many,or if any, actually do have their dark bands lighten with age..?. Any of you out there have pics of your ghost as hatchlings and now adults..?. I only have adult pics of my ghost on the net,but have some hatchling pics of him in a file.

Tom, I believe you have a little bit of everthing in your collection. And that is a beautiful Ghost Honduran.

Nice pic Steve. How did you get that big of a pic to download? And sweet Ghost Tom, it's definitely vanishing on its sides, the bigger they get the more vanishing they appear because their scales get bigger but I don't think their pattern disappears the older they get.

That photo was loaded off my Photobucket dot com account. I'd never get a pic that large off my kingsnake photo album, LOL
