My friend has one that is younger and it is huge compared to mind and beautiful. I put him outside all day when it is sunny and use a uvb when it isnt sunny and i give him calcium and he eats crix flies and mealworms. He is still only about 7 or 8 inches long can anyone tell me whats wrong.

Hi-

Well chameleons grow at different rates. Also there are sometimes runts in a clutch. Best thing is to provide good UVB, and a good food source like crickets and or silkworms as the staple diet (everyday food), and give other things like mealworms, waxworms, supperworms, butterworms and so on only as treats. Provide regular calcium/vitamin dusting on a regular basis, and gutload all food items before you feed them. If all these things are being done then you just have a slow growing chameleon. Also are you sure it is a male and not a female? Females will not grow as fast, and not have as much color. Hope this helps!
