Anyone sent Geckos to Alaska? Received in Alaska? Need advice

Rob Jenkins Jul 25, 2003 04:16 PM

Is it safe to ship UPS next day service to Alaska? I had a bad experience a few years ago with the USPS, so won't use them to ship there. This shipment would come from MD to Alaska.

Any experience? Thanks.

If your going to ship or recieve there now would be the time to do it. I lived in Anchorage for 24 years but wasnt into Geckos then. I saw a post from someone who had receieved some up in fairbanks and they were ok. Next day is tricky for going there, I would plan on it taking 2, but it could happen. Sorry I cant help anymore than that. The weather is nice this time of year, but not for too much longer.

Hi Rob,

If you sign up for a UPS online account you can preview a shipment to see if UPS will guarantee it overnight, and if so by what time the following day. 99% of my packages are guaranteed by 10:30am the following morning, but I have never sent anything to Alaska.

Good luck.
