The only Orange Albino Gene. Enjoy!

HighEndHerpsInc Jan 24, 2006 10:47 PM

This is our holdback orange albino hybrid rock/burmese female. She is just over 4 1/2 feet and is pictured with one of our 18 foot albino granite het green females. This is solely to demonstrate the incredible orange colors she not only retains, but that increase with every shed. If you look at pictures of her during her first few months of life you will see that she had no orange between her webbed pattern. Now she has orange blotches and streaks popping up all over the place. It's just incredible. We can't wait to integrate her orange albino genes into every morph strain in existence.

Opinions on this amazing animal are welcomed. Even those that are anti-hybridization.

First, for the record, I am not anti-hybrid. That being said, there are enough people who are anti-hybrid that it seems to me the best course of action would be to breed the parents of the orange albino rock/burm to others of their own species, and try to prove out the gene in a non-hybrid line. If it proves to be on the rock side, I think it would be more difficult to start making money, but at least you'd have something a little unique with mass appeal. From what I've seen not many people are interested in hybrid morphs. Even on the corn forum, which is one of the most benign forums on this site, people flip out about "impure" creamsicles. Just my two cents.
