2 hide boxes in 41 qt bins?

wisema2297 Jan 25, 2006 12:41 AM

Do any of you use 2 hide boxes in the sterilit/rubbermaid containers? I have just switched to using them. I use a hide box on the warm end and always used on on the cooler end in glass tanks. Does the bin allow for tight enough/secure feeling for snake? I've just purchaed an adult het albino male and want him to feel comfortable and secure until next years breeding season.

It all depends on the snake in question. I have some snakes that have never used their hides and I have some that will not eat if the hide is removed. I also have some that prefer to get under the newsprint as a hide versus the $5 hide i put in the tub. So basically put a hide in, if they use it great, if not that's good too, but you should give them the option.

honestly, i use terracotta flower pots
i have an expensive store bought hide, but my bps prefer the flower pots. plus, you can spray directly on the pots, and they absorb the water, then release it slowly
