ceramic heating elements

i have a ceramic heating element, im wondering something about the use of them.
when i bought it i also bought a ceramic fixture that has a has a wire "dome" when i have used it i can feel the heat rising instead of going into the tank, i have a ceramic bulb here with a metal dome..... is the che safe to use with the metal dome?

Not sure, but you may want to reconsider your heating. Bulbs tend to dry out the air.
