Water question

ohannah Jan 25, 2006 09:00 AM

Just to double check, is it necessary to change snakes’ water regularly even though the water remains clean (I use newspaper)? If yes, how often?

Thanks

It is vital that you change the water at least once a week (twice is prefered) and change it immediately every time the snake deficates in it.

yea.........they like clean fresh better than warm stale....

experiment.......

2 glasses of water ....put one on table and one in fridge....

after 2 days taste them both.......

you like cold better.......

they do too..........

.......they can smell fresh water ...stale water I have seen them crawl through looking for a drink and not finding it..makes you think they are stupid.......

..fresh water..they all just run to it......

I have an 05 snow that wouldn't eat her pinky. I noticed her water bowl getting low. I refilled the bowl, held her over it and waitied while she drank her fill. I then placed her back in the deli cup and with in 15 minutes she ate!! Fresh water seems to make a big difference so I change mine before every feeding.
