but yeah here in the great u.s. of a,we do have rattlesnke roundups...go to f*i*e*l*d*h*e*r*p*e*r*s*d*o*t*c*o*m,the post is dated 1/24,titled 'nm rattlesnkes'-sign the petition,it needs all the help it can get....sorry to post this in the ball python forum,but i figured these days this is probably the most popular one at kingsnake.com

you know i thought of that;and whether this craze in ball python morphs is going to cause more of a draw on the wild populations,despite the thousands produced in captivity these days...largely in part to the 'need for new bloodlines'.what a crock-there's enough genetic depth and diversity among captive bred specimens of that species to last a loooong time....ironic-'you always hurt the ones you love'.....then again,lotsa folks are just in it for the $$$$-most regius breeders i know say they sold off their colubrids to focus on balls-i don't need to tell you why.
