Outdoor box turtle enclosure

bayres77 Jan 25, 2006 10:58 AM

I will be building an outdoor enclosure for my box turtles this spring and would like to know if anyone has any suggestions as to what type of materials work best. I am looking to build somthing that will blend in with the landscaping and not stand out too much.

Thanks

Sorry no one's replied to you sooner. I recently built a half-round enclosure against the side of a garage. I used landscaping blocks of the sort used to surround trees and flower beds, stacked two high, and lined on the inside with brown aluminum roof flashing so the boxies can't climb out. A half-round enclosure about 8 feet long and 4 feet deep cost about $70 in materials, which I got at local home improvement warehouse.
