Cage CLeaning Alternative

According to my sister (the "almost" naturopathic doctor ) Hydrogen peroxide will also kill just about anything that bleach would. Now, I would definitley double check this with a Vet or MD before relying on it, but all the research I did pointed that this was true. It was a little tricker to work with, because once it is exposed to air and sunlight (or just air, can't remember) it turns into water, but that is the awesome part about it too! YOu can spray down a cage, toys etc, scrub them clean, rinse them, then saturate them with the hydrogen peroxide. What is left after all the bubbling and such is just water, though I rinsed things again after due to paranoia. However none of the dangerous fumes of bleach (even at 10% this seems like the resulting fumes would be dangerous, particularly if cleaning nightly). A word aof advice though - WEAR GLOVES. I often ignore this point because I am allergic to everything anyway, so I figure Hydrogen peroxide can't be any worse that Lysol or somethign similar for me... However, I ended up with basically chemical burns all over my hands from the peroxide "cleaning" my skin. I just stuck a spray bottle top (clean and new) intot he top of the peroxide container and spray and sprayed and sprayed!

Just thought I would share.

Ihave had great success in the past with nolvasan, the stuff is awesome and easy to get. I think pound for pound its the best and safest.

Have used it for quite some time now, safe and goes along way, even with many , tanks to clean.
