Our New Camera

havic Jan 25, 2006 02:25 PM

We would just like to thank all who gave advice and opinions on camera's after much discussion and shopping we found exactly what we needed. We ended up going with a Nikon D50 slr though it cost us a lot more then we origanly planed on spending we feel it was worth the money because the camera will last for years to come and is easly upgradable with new lenses and flashes and such. here is one pic that we took last night with our new investment we would have never been able to get a shot like this with our old minotla Dimage s304

I suspect that you've made a good choice. While I've never used this particular camera, I've heard generally good things about it. I wish you many years of great photos.

It's not how many snakes you have. It's how happy and healthy you can keep them.

I really don't want to spend that much money now, but you're sorely tempting me. That's a great shot. I wish I could shoot that way and have the instant gratification of seeing them immediately. I used to love doing real photography.

I'm glad you like it. I have really enjoyed mine. That is a great picture by the way. I think I have shot about three hundred good pics of my reptiles, butI had it on the fine quality setting, so all of the file sizes are too big for Kingsnake, lol. Good luck with your new toy.

thanks for the comp. on the pic but we found that we have to either crop the photo on the camera or resize it once we download it to the puter to make it small enough to upload to the photo gallery. so yes we had the same problem as you on getting them to upload they were just to big

Thats the same problem i have. I cant keep the clarity of the photos when resized, how did you do it?

when i resize i use Microsoft paint. The best way i found is to find where it says image on the toolbar then go to stretch/skew and enter a smaller percentage in the horizantal and vertical catigories till i get the size i want

Cool! I guess I'll be posting some of my new pictures tomorow. Thanks for the info, I'll have to give it a try tonight after I get back from the San Diego Herp Society meeting. Great pic of the balls in a knot, really cool.
