2003 Sibling pair

jlassiter Jan 25, 2006 08:58 PM

The MSP is a male and the Orangish leonis is his sibling sister.
They did not make it to breeding size as soon as I hoped, but others born that year sure did.......I think snakes are very individual.....Some just grow faster than others.

I haven't seen many buckskin MSPs around lately, but I sure like this male.....The female isn't too shabby either.

I don't think anyone really 'missed' me, but it IS good to be back into the swing of things......Maybe this year will be better over here......

...you are a thinking man with a curious mind, and you always bring a lot to the table here that makes others think and respond. Plus, it's a safe bet that you record and share information much better than most of us, which has been a great resource.

Even the very best of friends don't always see eye to eye. Tossing our thoughts and comments around, right or wrong, liked or not, we learn a lot from each other doing it. So... from any of my own personal responses to your posts regardless of how they sound, don't ever think you aren't appreciated.

Thanks for the compliment, but I think there is much to learn from everyone else (rather than me)....Hell....I had an awful breeding season in 2005. What do I know?....Maybe I learned something from that...

Hey John

Nice pics. The leonis female looks similar to one of mine(here's a pic of her in her nest box in '05). I've noticed that they're now nice indoor pics instead the ones on the sunny side. Must be cold were you are. The lichen was a nice touch to give it somewhat of a natural feel. I've been completely jealous of everyone's pics lately. Got all of these new animals from my years picks/holdbacks, Bob H., Chris B., and the Bodners without any means of sharing after my camera crapping out in Decmeber. Oh well. Keep them coming though. We all love to see them. Take care.

It's not cold at all down here in South Texas. I just work during daylight hours and was bored last night.......LOL
Maybe this weekend I can get some natural light pics......They are always better. BTW.....Nice orange female in the pic....Looks nicer than mine, IMO.
