well my colombian boa arrived and he is vary evil he struck at me like 3 times when i was puting him in his tub, and i just went to check on him and he struck at me again and he is doing that tail vibration thing, this is kinda upsetting because i wanted 2 use him for presitations and stuff but if he is going to be like this i might have 2 get rid of him i hope he gets better because he is a really pretty snake and i want 2 keep him

Most of my shipped boas have been upset when i first recieved them. One little anery would hiss and strike everytime i walked in the room for almost a week. I had to cover the cage with a towel. The person i got her from told me she was a sweet heart and had never struck once. She totally mellowed out after a juicy mouse and rest in a comfotable hide box. Now she is my favorite pet. Just give it some time and a couple of meals and Im sure you will have a nice pet. They just really hate shipping.

When I first got my 04 dbl het stripe albino she was a true devil! Right away I started her counseling sessions, I let her out to roam and get use to my presence. Initially she would strike at the air and hiss the whole time. Then as time progressed and she gained a little courage to explore, I would touch her when she had no chance of biting me (b/c she would have) while wearing a protective glove. Eventually she started to let me put her back in her cage minus the snake hook and hasn’t struck or hissed at me for about a month now and is friendly as ever. Hope this helps.
