Pancake tortoises in Tropical Weather

I wonder anyone has tried to keep/breed the pancake tortoises in tropical weather, particularly in Asia. I plan to start a colony in Malaysia and I am not sure whether it is a good idea. From the informations I gathered, they are suggesting that these creatures need a low humidity condition. So, I do appreciate any comments on that. Thanks. Edwin
