xshorthingx Jan 26, 2006 10:22 AM

WEll,when i woke up this morning he has one eye open and one eye sill closed with the milky colored lid thing.....well ive notices gnats in his tank now, right near where he is...im VERY worried....i know i need to get them out immediately but i dont know what to do about the frog, i dont want to disturb him or cause him any harm while hes in that delicate state.....should i just take him out and re-do the tank anyway?? I have a layer of moss on the bottom to hold more moisture and keep ann extra layer between the heater, the bottom glass and him...i have about 2 inches of the jungle mix in there over the moss...he seemed to like it but is it an attraction for gnats?? Is there anything i can do to prevent them from coming back??? Is there anything i need to do my frog once i get him out of there?/ PLEASE I NEED SOME ANSEWERS!!! IT MIGHT BE TOO LATE PLEASE HELP ME!!!!

I would seriously consult a herp/exotics vet in your area. Go to http://www.herpvetconnection.com/ and you can find a decent one in your area.

Thanks,
Ed

Murdock is fine. I brought him out of hibernation, cleaned out his tank. he ate in his temporary tank and in his perminant tank so i know he's happy. He's never really shown any signs of illness or concern till he flips over but i consulted a amphibian specialist she said hes fine, NO broken leg just not so graceful and infact one of the most healthy, active "pacmans' shes seen in her career. I was really suprised to hear that. She said hes very territorial and ready to mate, lol. Thanks for your response....
