As of right now, I have a total of 44 eggs incubating and one hatchling with the hatchling coming from an egg I found on the ground. I likely have a few nests in the pen that I'm not aware of. Right now, my largest female is laying her THIRD clutch of the year. Her last two each had 7 eggs, so if she lays 7 tonight, that'll be 21 from her alone in the span of less than two months. Several others have laid twice this summer, and at this rate I may end up with near near 75 eggs by the end of the season.

I don't think its very common for a female to lay 3 clutches. I've read they lay two sometimes, but haven't read about three.

I'd take pictures to prove the near ridiculous amount of eggs I have right now, but they're buried in my incuating tank and I don't want to disturb them. I'll definitely post pictures of all the hatchlings once all the egg laying stops and all babies have hatched.
