those are probably mites, not fleas. you will have to get some mite killer spray. i used prevent o mite and it worked great but then again i didn't have a big problem like it sounds like you have. i think there are a couple different mite killer products out there. another one i think is called 'mite relief' or something like that. just follow directions on what ever you use.
with the prevent o mite i torn apart my pythons cage and replaced everything. sprayed the cage real well. soaked my python in cooking oil to kill them on him. the oil will get under the scales and kill the mites. then i rinsed him off real well.
this is what i did. someone else might have a better or easier way but this worked for me. good luck. you will probably have to treat your cage and snake a couple times if you have a big problem.

I haven't had a bad case but I had some little white mites on my ball python. I used the Zoo Med Mite Off just following the directions on the back. I haven't had the problem again with my ball python but the mites did decide they enjoyed my newt tank so it's a never ending battle. My suggestion is to get rid of the mites as quickly as possible especially if your boa is close to any other reptile or amphibs. Hope that helps.

snakes often soak to rid them selves of mites so that is probably what they are. also if you have other snakes or reptiles, its a good chance they have them also. you only saw whats in the water bowl. chances you have lots more crawling around the enclosure there. esp in the cork bark. that is where i think i got mine from so i tossed the piece i had along with the reptile bark and never got another one.
