yes and no. half of my babies eat f/t pinkies from their first feeding and others need more time or scenting on the pinkies to get them going.

.......i'm wrong didn't i hear (read) you say that scenting isn't really necessary if your patient???

You are correct! I have always said that scenting is not necessary for tri-hogs, but after talking to and hearing about lots of other people using scenting methods to get a few stubborn feeders to start feeding I went ahead and tried it on a few of mine that just wont feed and were most likely going to die if I didn’t start force feeding them. So I rubbed a few pinkies on a tree frog and a few of them did eat on their own. So after years of not using scenting to get these snakes to feed on their own I suppose as a last resort I might just try scenting to get some to feed. I never said it wouldn’t work, I just didn’t think I needed to do it due to years of success without scenting.

I guess you’re never to old to lean some new trick and should never be close-minded to trying things that work for others.

Im the same, I reserve scenting for only the most stubborn, if you can get them small enough, they will readily take pinks, interestingly, they wont take lives, in my experience.
