Sometime between January 21 and the afternoon of January 23, a gravid 60 to 70 pound adult spurthigh tortoise was stolen from Doug Beard's facility in South Florida. We are particularly concerned about the well-being of this tortoise as she is ready to lay eggs. If she is not provided with an appropriate nesting area, she could egg bind and die. Any information would be greatly appreciated. We are offering a reward for the recovery of this animal.
