Hi, how big are collards when they hatch(SV legnth, total length)? How early can you tell males from females?

Thanks,
Morgan

You can tell Males from Females within a few days...although I'd wait a while after they hatch to handle them too much.

Yes I can see why you wouldn't want to handle them too much in the first couple days. They look like they would be difficult to pick up too.

Thanks,
Morgan

i have handled the five that i hatched once they were up running around. they really are scared at first and watching them attempt to bite you is one of the cutest things ever. then after a day or two they are like "eh" and then a couple days after that you have to peel them off your hands.

eve used to have really great shots of male and female vents on her page but usually after a couple days you can see the black dots by the female vents

I checked Eve's site first, but I wasn't sure if that aplied to the hatchlings too.
