Extra leg on PTF: Injured?

scatticus Jan 27, 2006 07:09 PM

I've got a male pacific tree frog that has an extra leg on the back right, it doesn't have a foot on it,but recently (today) I noticed that the end is red and maybe a bit swollen too. I just moved him (and the others) into a bigger enclosure. I'm thinking he banged it on something while exploring? any thoughts, could it be serious? Thanx!

o0; I would think that your best bet is to find a herp vet, or even talk to one online (I had found a site once, but I can't remember where. they had a chat for those with questions)

I decided to release him where I found him (my yard). I came across him today and the swelling and redness had dissapeared.
