Male or Female? Here's a pic.

Hi, Someone questioned me that my gecko might be a male I'm not really sure I thought prehaps female, but anyway here's a link to the pic. Sorry it's not the best. What do you think? Thanks, Jordan

Heres a little pic I threw together to help people gender their Fat-tailed geckos. Feel free to pass it around.

Male geckos have visible pre-anal pores which can be found between the lower tighs. They are several small dots forming a sort of arrow pointing up. (as labled in image) Female geckos have these but they are not visible to the naked eye. Male geckos also have a buldge beneath their anus which is where their reproductive organs are tucked away.

Hope that helped!

Hello, I've looked at various pics on the net and the ones you showed me, but I can't tell. So if someone could say what they think that would be great.
Thanks.

my guess is male... and it is a guess. I can see the pores fairly clearly, and a slight bulge, but I'm really not positive. SHELLEY may be able to tell better!

Hey, i was just looking at the picture of your gecko, and it seems as if his underside and feet are a little red...not sure if this is resulting from a burn or not. Anyone else think so? You just may want to have him looked at. Do you have heat rocks by any chance? Hopefully I'm wrong...

This is a picture of a gecko who has been burned, (picture came from thegeckospot.com), just for a comparison

No, my gecko isn't burned. He/She just crawled through their vitamins when i went to pick it up to take the picture. Any idea is it a boy or a girl?
